Matthias Ginter has rejected Tottenham Hotspur in favour of a move to Borussia Monchengladbach.
The 23-year-old German international has reportedly chosen to join Die Fohlen due to guarantees of first team football – something Mauricio Pochettino could not assure. Ginter, who appeared for Germany as a sub in their Confederations Cup Final victory yesterday is believed to not be in the plans of new Borussia Dortmund boss, Peter Bosz and is available at a price of just £15m. Ginter has impressed for Dortmund when called upon, making 66 appearances in 3 seasons, he has also represented the German national team 14 times.
So far it has been a frustrating summer for Tottenham with no incoming transfers. However, it looks like Kyle Walker is on the verge of a move to Manchester City and Joshua King looks likely to join Tottenham from Bournemouth.
